I am a very “kid friendly” guide. Please see the photo gallery.

Crappie Guide Service Rates

Crappie fishing trips:
For 1-2 anglers is $325 per half day. (5 hours of fishing).
For 3 anglers is $375 per half day.
For 4 anglers is $425 per half day.

We have a 4 angler maximum. ADD $175 for an 8 hour trip rather than 5 hours.

Adding a trail boat is an extra $150.

Boat rides or bird watching are offered for $225 for 5 hours.

For larger groups another guide can be recruited (Corporate events, parties, etc.)

In the Spring time we tend to use corks and jigs in the shallows to catch Crappie. In the Summer and Fall, we tend to fish brush piles with jigs and sometimes minnows. All bait is caught the day of the trip. In the Winter time, I use a method called “spider rigging”. Google has lots of info on this method.

Trips will automatically be cancelled and rescheduled if lightning or bad weather is in the area. Safety first.

Currently I accept CASH & CHECKS for payment only.

NOTE: I also guide for White Bass if that is what you prefer to target but an advance heads up is recommended.

What I provide:

The boat: A 2001 18 ft. Shallow Sport with a 2015 Yamaha SHO 115 HP outboard. I use a Motor Guide X15 trolling motor, Bee Ready and Driftmaster rod holders, Supernova fishing lights: green on the outside and blue on the interior, 8 ft. blade power pole shallow water anchor system, Hummingbird Gen 2 Mega imaging unit fish finder on the console and safety equipment.

If your group has any kids 12 or under, be advised I do NOT supply life jackets for small children. You will need to bring life jackets for them.

The fishing gear:

Pro Angler 8 ft. fishing rods and 4 ft. Pro Angler rods for the kids. All rods have Shimano spinning reels. Tackle, lures, bait, expertise and my sparkling personality. I also provide a cooler with ice for your drinks and food and the fish while on the lake. After the trip, I will clean/fillet your fish and bag them for you.

What to Bring:

Weather appropriate clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat or visor, personal items, fishing license, photo ID, drinks, food snacks, camera, cooler and ice for your fish on the way home! You can bring your own equipment to use if you prefer, but it is not recommended. Due to limited space on the boat, you may not bring your own cooler on-board. I will provide that for you. Your cooler WILL be needed for your return trip home for your fish though!

No GPS are allowed on boat and NOOOOOOO Bananas either. Seriously.
